Douglas County Schools
The DaySpring 5K is a fund raising event to help local schools in the Douglas County Area while promoting healthier lifestyles through exercise.
Central Baptist Church has been partnering with the community since 2003 via the Dayspring 5K Road Race. All race proceeds are given to a Douglas County school that has been selected through an application process.
2011 School - Chapel Hill Elementary - funds used toward track project.
The following Douglas County Schools have received race proceeds in the past:
2010 School - Burnett Elementary School $3,000 (playground improvements)
2009: Mason Creek Elementary and Mason Creek Middle School (Douglas Co. flood victims)
2008: North Douglas Elem. $3,000 (playground improvements)
2007: New Manchester Elem. $4,900 (playground improvements)
2006: Brighten Academy $3,800 (library fund)
2005: Bill Arp Elementary $4,800 (new playground)
2004: Mt. Carmel Elementary $3,800 (new playground)
2003: Chapel Hill High School $3,500 (stadium expansion)

How YOU Can Help
Please donate an additional amount to the Douglas County Schools when you register for the Dayspring 5k this year!
Encourage friends and family who may not be able to attend the race, to donate to this exceptionally worthy cause!
Ask if your company has a matching gift program to make your money go farther!
On the day of race, bring your pledges (if possible convert cash donations to one check) to the registration booth or mail donations directly to DaySpring 5K. Please make checks payable to Dayspring 5K.
